Our story

A Sydenham favourite for over two decades

Issy's opened its doors on Spearman Road in 2001 and has been a family business ever since. Today it's run by co-owners Farouk and his sister, carrying on the family name in the heart of Sydenham.

Families from across Durban stop in for a tray of koeksisters on a Sunday morning, a box of treats for a function, or a loaf of bread on the way home. Under one roof you'll find our bakery counter and a fully stocked superette.
